RV CHEER BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

 

The Ralston Valley Cheer Booster Club is a non-profit, 

voluntary group committed to supporting the athletes of the 

Ralston Valley Cheerleading program on all levels. In addition, 

the Booster club offers time and financial support to the team when 

special athlete-related events such as competitions and new equipment are needed. Funds are obtained through individual, family, and business memberships as well as concessions/spirit wear sales, fundraisers, and other special events. 

 

Rules for Entry and Acceptance of Scholarship

 

The Booster Club will award four scholarships once per year in the amount of $1000 each to up to (4) eligible athletes within the program. The scholarships are a one-time award and are only for the upcoming school year/cheer season.  Scholarships must be reapplied for each year. The scholarship can be used for cheer fees and nationals. The scholarships are for RV Cheer Athletes only.

 

1. Applicant must be in good academic standing He/she should have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (Include unofficial transcript from Campus with submission) 

2. Athletes must not have been ineligible at any point during the previous season.

3. The applicant must participate in all fundraising events.

4. Each applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a coach or a teacher.

5. Parent/Guardian of the applicant  must be a current year member of the RV Cheer Booster Club.

6. All fees must be paid up to date.

7. Applicant must fill out the application fully.

8. Application deadline is due August 1st each year by 11pm.

Selection of Recipients

 

Awards will be selected based on a letter of recommendation and financial need.

 

The Ralston Valley Cheer Booster Club selection committee will be comprised of (3) Booster Club members (1 executive member and 2 active booster club members). Applications will be verified by an executive member separate from the committee. The committee will review all blind applications. Names will not be provided to the committee.  Parents/family members of the applicants cannot be on the committee. Recipients will be notified immediately via email. 

 

The creation of this scholarship opportunity is offered by the RV Cheer Booster Club and can be altered, suspended, halted, or canceled at any time.
